Making the move to Banterra Bank is as easy as following these simple steps. We are here to help you with each step along the way with the tools you need to complete the switch.

Step 1 Visit your local Banterra Bank branch to open your new account. A Deposit Account Specialist will be happy to assist you. To help make your experience even easier, here are a few things to bring with you:
  • A current, valid form of photo identification for all account owners
  • The name, social security number and date of birth of anyone on the account * Proof of address if your ID does not have a correct address
  • A check or cash for an initial deposit
Step 2 Set up your Online Banking with Banterra Bank including Bill Payment, Mobile Banking and Online Statements. Your branch can assist you with this step.
Step 3 Switch all your Direct Deposits to Banterra Bank using the attached form. Don't forget your payroll, retirement plan, social security, court-issued and investment direct deposits. Use the Direct Deposit Change Request tool to complete this step.
Step 4 Switch your Automatic Withdrawals for things like utilities, loan payments, internet, cable, credit cards, charities, insurance and court-ordered withdrawals. A form to make it even easier is included. Use the Automatic Withdrawal Transfer tool to complete this step. If all you desire to do is to cancel an existing automatic withdrawal, we have a tool for that as well. Select the Automatic Withdrawal Cancellation tool.
Step 5 If you have Automatic Payments, you can set those up using Banterra’s Bill Payment Service or if you prefer, you can also notify your vendor of the change in bank accounts using the Automatic Payment Authorization tool.
Step 6 Close your old account once you have confirmed that all outstanding items have cleared. Use the Account Closing Request tool to complete this step.
